Closed captions don't adjust when viewing the course in landscape mode

Jan 19, 2023

Hello!

I have a question, I successfully added closed captions to a video and published, but unfortunately when I previewed the course on the phone and switched to horizontal the captions appeared in the middle of the screen, covering the person speaking. How can I move them to the bottom of the screen?

Thanks! xoxox

Hi Randstad Digital Learning,

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 86, we’ve included important fixes and new features.

One of the new features we’ve included:

  • Position captions at the top or bottom of the slide to ensure closed caption visibility and prevent the obstruction of critical course content.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out!

There is current no way to adjust the position of Closed Captions in a Storyline 360 course, but I understand how having this feature would allow courses to become more viewable.

I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request!
