Content not displaying in HTML5 output once published

Sep 09, 2013

My office is making a 12 question quiz in Storyline for an application we are creating.    When I publish the content to the Tempshare site the flash file works fine.  When we run the HTML5 version locally and hosted on our server inside of our application some of the text boxes and shapes don't display correctly in Chrome.  It seems this is a hit or miss issue with all of the slides. In this attached image you can see that the question text doesn't even show up and the box behind the text of the incorrect text message didn't appear either. We really don't want to use the flash version of this quiz because we want this to be as cross platform as possible. Any suggestions on how we can fix this issue?  We are coming up on the end of this sprint and we need to resolve this issue quickly.  Thanks from the University of California.

Good Morning Jason, and welcome to Heroes!

Just to clarify:  You don't need to launch HTML5 content in a Flash-compatible browser in order to achieve cross-platform compatibility, since Storyline automatically determines which version of your content to display when learners view it.

Having said that, if there is a problem with the HTML5 output we're producing, that's definitely something that we want to take a look at for you!  Would you mind sending us a copy of your .story project file so that we can do some further testing?  Thanks!
