Course with inserted video not playing properly on Safari

Jul 23, 2015

We are trying to publish content through our LMS that will play on Ipads and Iphones with safari.  The courses in the training program will be a single slide with inserted video then a simple knowledge check question to reinforce the theme of the video.  The course plays well on my desktop but the video/audio slide does not play on my device.  Anyone know why or which settings may affect the performance through safari?

Hi, John -- Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing but there are a few things we can try to get started. You may want to check out this article, HTML5 Content Is Slow or Doesn't Work in Mobile Safari. And also, as you mentioned your LMS, are you able to upload and test your published output in the SCORM Cloud? Also, you may want to check out these articles on troubleshooting LMS issues:

in addition, it's always helpful if you are able to attach your .story file (or if privacy is an issue, a pared-down sample that illustrates the behavior you are seeing) so that people in the community can take a closer look and make suggestions. Please use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left corner of the reply box in the thread, and you can browse for the file from there. Please also note that if you reply via email, your attachment will not appear here in the thread. Thanks! :)
