I imported a pptx file with about 10 slides. I'd like to ensure the students read the slides before moving on so I'd like the next button (not one I created, the one that is already at the bottom of the slides) to be grayed out for the first 5-10 seconds. How do I do this?
Setting the Player to restricted navigation automatically disables the Next button on each slide until its timeline is done. Thus, the time required on each slide depends on the length of the timeline.
This setting applies all slides in a course. It doesn't matter whether they were imported or not.
As Phil said, users may be frustrated by having to wait to proceed. However, having worked with companies in highly regulated industries, I understand that restricted navigation is often used for compliance purposes.
Of course, there's really no way to ensure someone reads the slide while they're waiting for the Next button to enable...

You can set the course to restricted, although that will be a frustrating experience for the user and reviewers
Thank you for your reply! Is this because I'm using slides imported from PPT?
