I've recorded a software simulation that includes dragging and dropping a widget onto the screen, then repositioning and resizing that widget. Storyline records the drag and drop, reposition and resizing actions, but when I run the simulation, I'm only able to click where the drag and drop begins, but can't actually drag anything onto the screen. The simulation runs that part as a recording once I click where this action begins in the software. Is there a way around this so learners can actually complete the drag and drop action in the simulation?
We're happy to help! It sounds like the screen recording captured the drag and drop simulation, but the learner can only interact with the beginning of drag and drop simulation. Have you tried adding a slide with an additional hotspot in the area where the items should be dropped?

Not sure I understand the steps to adding an additional hotspot within the simulation recording in order to create a drag and drop experience the learner can actually complete, as opposed to just watch play out.
