I am having the same issue with just one course. I have the documents on my desktop and also tried to publish to my documents folder. This was a course used in 2022 and was saved to update to 2023 version of education. I have had another person on my team try to publish this and they get the same error message, but can publish to Review 360
Just to echo my colleague Eric's question, do you have an application installed on your computer that syncs your files to a network location? And in the publishing settings of your project, would you mind sharing a screenshot of the directory where the published files get saved so we can take a look?
Hi all, I tested a previously published .story file, that worked. I then went back to my new file and that the also published (?) I'm not complaining but that's how it resolved for me.
On top of having your folders being synced to OneDrive, you'll also want to check if you have security applications like Carbon Black installed.
We've found that Carbon Black can cause performance issues, such as slow response times and difficulty saving Storyline projects.
If you're unsure of what's currently installed on your computer, open a case with our support team here and we'll be glad to help you identify what's causing the publishing issues on your end.
I just created a new project, then imported the slides from the previous project. Even with Onedrive on, it published just fine. My previous file must have become corrupted somehow.

try publishing to your windows "Documents" folder
I'm getting the same issue for Web and LMS/LRS output. Doesn't help to publish anywhere else either: documents, desktop, etc.
what happens, if you create a new empty course and publish to web?
