Fade by first level paragraph not displaying
I've imported an Articulate Presenter file into Storyline (my first time using Storyline). My bulleted text boxes are not animating one at a time. When I click on the Fade option in the Entrance Animations area, there is no sub-option for By First Level Paragraph displaying. In fact, none of the animations are displaying options. Any idea why?
Also, any suggestions on how to compensate for the lack of Emphasis animations that are available in PowerPoint? I had used the Pulse option frequently to highlight graphics in synch with my audio. Now they are static.
Many thanks! I apparently have a lot of work to do subsequent to my import.

Hi Catherine!
You came to the right place for advice! In Storyline, you have the option to choose where the animation starts and if it's by object or paragraph. Here's how you would use the Fade animation to animate each paragraph.

Hello, I don't have any options to choose animate by paragraph. I'm using Storyline 3.0, is that a feature that was removed for that version?
Hi Kelly,
Storyline 3 certainly still has that option. I took a moment to record a Peek 360 video to walk through how to do so. The file I created is attached as well :)

Thank you Leslie, it's the strangest thing but when I open your file the option is there. When I open any of my courses I'm working on, the option is not there. I'm going to try to reinstall the program.

I'm having the exact same issue a year later with Storyline 360. So frustrating!!

Same for me, another year later.... :(
That is strange, Kelly.
Let me know how the reinstall works and, if you're able to replicate again, please send a short screen share video for us to take a look.

Laura, I macgyvered the course by importing your slide and using your text box with the sequence function available and it translated through into my course. So now I'm just using your text box and copying it to my other slides. I have no idea why this works and the option just isn't available to the text boxes I create but for now I have a workaround. Thanks for your help!

it looks like in earlier versions instead of "By paragraph" there was "fade by first line paragraph" and what that did is create a seperate item on the timeline for each bullet in the paragraph which allowed you to adjust the timing for each bullet instead of having them all fade in at the same interval. Can this be done in 360? (This is where I learned about the earlier feature - https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/timing-animation-for-a-list-of-bullet-points)

Never mind, I see the drop down arrow that shows this
I'm glad you were able to find what you needed, Bruce. I appreciate you popping back in to update and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
