Formating problems

May 10, 2017

I'm new at Storyline and am having trouble formatting text. The font size and type indicator say the font is Arial 18 Bold but the font looks smaller in the story View and Published view.

Also is there a way to change the titles of the slides on the menu? The menu is picking up the presentation title and not the subtitle which needs to be on the menu.

Feels like amateur hour in my cubical, which sadly it is.

Every shoemaker has his own last, so shoe sizes vary. Every app has its own font rendering engine, so font sizes vary slightly. Bottom line, ignore the number, and make it look like what you want.

Go to player, and click menu. You can change a lot of things about the menu, including the names that appear, the order they appear, and you can even insert headings.

Hi Gwen,

What version of Storyline are you using? Is the text and font you're using on the player or on the slide itself? The story view or preview may appear smaller than you'd expect based on the overall slide size and how those are scaled to fit in the Storyline screen.

I'd give the published output a test by uploading to Tempshare  (a site for testing web content) or using SCORM Cloud for LMS content. That'll give you the best indication of how it'll look to your users.
