When I publish my Storyline 3 course to LMS, HTML5 only format. The content will not open in Chrome. It appears as if a portion of the player loads but the rest of the content will not load. The spinning wheel (loading) continues to spin but never loads. I'm selecting the "story_html5.html" file as usual. However, it will play in Firefox. This is new as of last Friday. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Sorry to hear that you ran into an issue with this.
As Matthew mentioned, we are certainly aware. I do appreciate you chiming in though and I'll attach this thread to the report so that we can update you as soon as we can.
A fix was released for this issue in Storyline 360 on January 29th. You can read all of the details on the updates here as well as instructions to update.
Looks like I just responded to a similar post here. Just linking the two for anyone following along and so that we can keep the conversation in one place :)
The fresh publish alone cannot be the answer, I tried different story files several times and alsways got the same problem. No idea, why it works now...
The version history link you posted ends with Feb 1st, so I think it should be updated.
I am having the same issue with the courses freezing and getting the spinning wheel. I am using story line 2. I am using Chrome 64.0.3282.167. Will there be an update for storyline 2 like there was for 360?
Thanks for letting us know that you are working with the support team.
The only specific fix we had with Storyline 360 and Chrome 64 was viewing local files (Jan 29 update here), which does not sound similar to what you are experiencing glancing at your support case.
Looks like you are working directly with Chino, so I encourage you to continue to do so. I'll let him know that this is the thread you were referring to in your response.
Great news! We just released Update 3 for Storyline 3. This includes quite a few important fixes and some new features as well. Check out all the details in the release notes here.

The course appears to be loading and previewing fine in my LMS. Does this mean that we can no longer view the courses in the Chrome browser?
Hey Chris,

I have the same problem, however the files only would not play locally (i.e. on your computer) they play fine when online
Hi Tsvety,
As mentioned above, we are aware of this issue and have this tied to the report so that we can update you as soon as we can.
I assume you are using Storyline 3 as well?
Thank you, Leslie for your response - I'm using Storyline 360
Glad I asked Tsvety :)

Thanks - just saw the updates
Tsvety
Hello Leslie,
We have the same problem:
- Storyline 360 (latest updates) with HTML5 publish (Flash-fallback)
- Chrome 64.0.3282.167
- Windows 10 (64bit)
- Content via LMS, not locally
We can only see the spinning wheel, and there ist an error in the Chrome console.
Please help! We have many people out there also using Chrome and maybe with the same problem!
Hey Karl,
Looks like I just responded to a similar post here. Just linking the two for anyone following along and so that we can keep the conversation in one place :)
OK, so let's keep this thread, OK? I think the image from my last post in here can be very helpful for yout tech team.
So, really really no local content (as you can see in the image URL).
Storyline 360 version 3.12.14647.0
Okay, deal :)
Are you able to replicate this behavior in SCORM Cloud as well?
Would you be able to share the .story file for us to take a look at?
Yes, in SCORM Cloud it also created the same problem. Please find the .story file attached. But it is the same with all files...
Thanks for sharing your file Karl.
I published your file and viewed in Chrome 64 on Mac and Chrome 64 in Windows 10 and the HTML5 version of your course is loading as expected.
Check out my published content here. Do you experience the same issue?
When I went to publish your file, it was set to publish to Articulate 360, so be sure you are choosing LMS.
Thanks Leslie for testing! Your publish works fine. Which Storyline version did you use?
Strange: I installed the latest SL360 update today from 3.12.14647.0 to 3.13.14869.0 and *wizzz* the publish with this new version works properly.
Were there any fixes concerning our problem included with the latest update?
Interesting Karl.
Looks like my reply/test was February 15th, which was before the most recent Update 13 on February 20th, so perhaps just a fresh publish did it :)
Glad that the latest update and your course are working well for you though.
If you want to glance at all the updates, you can check out the details here.

Thanks for your support!
That's certainly strange Karl. Curious if you're getting a cached version of the page somehow?
You do not see all of the information from February 20th?
Could you try the link in another browser perhaps?
No, in the German version this is missing.
Thanks Karl - I'll get that reported to our team.
Hi again Karl.
I just confirmed that our translated documentation is typically about a week behind while we wait to get the translation.
I just learned something new and I'm sorry if that's inconvenient, but we are working on it.
I am having the same issue with the courses freezing and getting the spinning wheel. I am using story line 2. I am using Chrome 64.0.3282.167. Will there be an update for storyline 2 like there was for 360?
I also have a case #01276448
Thanks Leslie!
