Inconsistentcy in success of playing story

I was just trying out the screen record "Try It" mode. It seems to be working great. I published including publishing to HTML5. After publishing, I ran story.html and the presentation worked fine. I passed it to another person who also ran story.html with success.
However, when a third person tried it, story.html did not work. They got the first screen, did the try it action, and nothing happened. The jump to next screen did not work. He then tried story_html5.html, and it worked. I subsequently tried running story_html5.html, and the jump to screen on the first action did NOT work for me. So, there are inconsistencies in the playback.
Anyone else experience this?
I just updated to Storyline Update 5.
Thanks,
Lara

Hi Lara,
Are you sending along the local published links to story.html and story_html5.html? You'll want to test the published output within the intended environment as described here, and if you need a web server to host it in, please review a few options below:
Hi, Ashley. Thanks for the reply. I should have done that in the first place. I had just passed along a zip of the story output. We will test again from the server and let you know.
Sounds good Lara and please keep us posted if you need anything else!
That did work. I had seen something about this on the Support FAQ page after I posted the question here. Thank you!
Great - thanks for the update!
Actually, we only tested the story.html file, and it does work when accessed from the server. However, I just now tried the story_html5.html file does not work. The first slide opens and the instruction caption appears, but clicking on the correct hotspot does nothing. It should go to the next slide. Are there issues with the recordings for software simulation and HTML5?
Hi Lara,
what browser are you testing the story_html5.html link in? You'll want to test in one of the supported browsers mentioned here:
