I have modules built in Storyline 360 and Rise that contain links to the Company's intranet and to pdf documents. Both types of links open with no problem when the modules are played on a PC. However, none of the types open when the modules are played on an iPad. Has anyone faced and managed to handle such a case? Thanks!
Hi Angelina! Sorry you're having trouble accessing the links on an iPad. Are you using Safari or Google Chrome in Apple iOS 8 or later?
You mentioned the links worked well on desktop. What browsers did you use on your desktop computer? Also, is the published file hosted on a learning management system or a web server?
On the iPad I use both Safari and an app by our LMS provider. The links don't open when the module is viewed both ways. On the other hand, pdf documents embedded in the module open well when the modules is played in Safari, but not in the app.
On the desktop computer I use both IE and Chrome and the module plays well in both. The published file is hosted on our company's LMS. This is where it is accessed by learners. Thanks!
Have you done any testing in SCORM Cloud yet? If so, are you getting the same results on the iPad? We generally compare the behavior in SCORM Cloud to your LMS experience to try to parse out file issues versus LMS issues. I am happy to help you with that testing if you'd like to share your file. If you'd rather send it to us privately, click here.
