It seems that the information about the file name on the timeline has disappeared. For example the audio file. Previously, I could figure this out by hovering over the file. By doing so the name appeared. This doesn't work any longer. Is this something you deliberately have removed?
I would like to have that information, cause it's so much easier to change av file if I know the name of it.
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention--I'm seeing the same thing you're seeing.
When I hover over a MP3 file in the timeline of a Storyline 3 project, I can preview the file name. However, that same preview is not there in Storyline 360.
I'll bring this up to my team so we can begin looking at next steps. Thanks again for letting us know about this, and I'm sorry it's slowing you down!
Hey Heroes! Loss of the mouse over file name of audio files has had a major impact on my work flow for several projects. Matching the script and file names has become much more difficult.
Sorry that you've been affected by this as well. I've updated the report to reflect the user impact and our team is taking a look, but I have no ETA at this time.
I am experiencing the same issue. I found a work around...if I right click on the waveform and choose Export, I can see the filename. Then I just cancel out. This is not ideal but will hopefully get you through until the bug can be fixed.
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is how we fixed the issue where Audio Filenames were no longer showing in the Timeline when the mouse is hovered over the Audio.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.

Hi, we are struggling with the same issue. Has there been an update to this yet?
Please bring back the preview of the file name :)
Hey Shawn,
I do not have an update to share at this time. It is an open issue and one we are tracking user impact on, so thanks for chiming in.
This thread is attached so that we can update you here when we can.

Same issue, all.
The file name hover function really makes things a lot easier. Would love to have it back please!
Hey Dave, Mark, and Terra,

I wasn't sure if it were helpful in the meantime to share a tip another affected user shared:

No file name of audio file when hovering over track.
This needs to be fixed NOW !
While you're at it. Add the file name to the top window of the audio editor.
While you're at it add the audio name to track name
Cannot wait half a year for next update need it NOW !!!!!!!!
(also: anyone getting locked folder files after publishing? e.g. cannot rename)
Also, you could add the source file name to the timeline similar to how it appears for a video
