Notes format changing when published

Apr 28, 2020

Hello! I am using Storyline 2. Since I don't have the option of using captions, I am trying to use Notes. The issue I'm having is that everything looks fine when I preview and even in the player, but when I publish the project, all the spaces between the paragraphs are gone and everything is pushed to the left.

Here is an example of my notes section and how I would like it to be displayed when published:

Below is how it looks when published:

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Can I?

Hi Nora.

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes Community.

After reading a few articles, I find this case is related to the issue where not all of the formatting options with Notes text are being rendered in the HTML5 output. However, after the redesigning of HTML5 output with Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 this issue is not seen. I recommend you to give it a shot using the trial versions.

Below are some temporary solutions snipped from the ongoing discussions related to Storyline 2: Notes Tab FONT sizes and Paragraph Formatting in HTML5 Notes Publish

.transcript_content p {
padding-bottom: 10px;
}

  • Adding in a single character (i.e. "-") where the breaks should appear, may help improve the Notes output format.

Í hope this helps.
