I want to publish my course to my desktop (and only to my desktop)...so I can look at it and see what it looks like and how it works.
Not sure if I did it right, but I chose "Publish to Web" (since I did not see a "Publish to Desktop" option).
And I saved it to a folder on my desktop.
When I now go to the folder, for the life of me, I can't get it to open. I can't even see any S2 "application" file to click on to get it to open and run.
you'll want to open the story.html file in your browser - just note some browsers apply local security settings that won't allow some items to display/play correctly.

Looks like Wendy has popped in to assist you here. I just wanted to add that if you were looking for a local solution, you could choose the publish to CD option.
