The only Articulate software I have access to is Storyline. I am wondering if Storyline has the capability or reporting individual responses for quiz questions.
Example:
Jane Doe Report:
Question 1: True (Correct)
Question 2: B (Incorrect)
Question 3; False (Incorrect)
I know this type of reporting is heavily dependent on the LMS as well and will research with my vendor further if I find that Storyline has this functionality.
Without knowing a little more about your project, it's hard to know how you're currently set up with your course and what type of freeform text you're wanting to report.
In the meantime, here's a thread I believe may help:
I need more help on support article. Can you tell me how to use below points?
id: Storyline sends a series of data for this string to identify the Scene#, the QuestionDraw# (if applicable), and the Slide# in that particular scene or question draw..
student_response: This is how the learner answered the question.
result: This designates whether the learner answered the question correctly or not.
If you're using a learning management system (LMS) to deploy and track e-learning content, you'll want to use the LMS publishing option in Articulate Storyline. Here's how.
I know this post is too old, but had some query similar to send quiz question data individually to LMS.
One of our client uses Storyline 360 to create quiz/assessment where user needs to attempt 10 questions. We are using Question pool, 10 question will be displayed out of 15 questions.
If the user close the course window in between before submitting the result can the data for attempted questions be sent to LMS. for eg. if user has attempted 5 questions out of 10 then can we send data for the 5 attempted question to LMS. i.e. the question attempted is correct or incorrect, which question user has attempted.
The course is set not to resume in player settings, so if user wants to relaunch the quiz/assessment will be reset.
Thanks for your reply, and yes the way you have suggested it works. Our client wants a bit different functionality. There will be no submit button on each question slide, the user will select the option and will click Next to go to next question and so on. If he wants he can go back and change the option selection. Once he has done with all questions he will be navigated to a slide where we have added a button with Submit Result trigger.
Could you please suggest if this is possible having user to re-select the options before submitting the result and still get data to LMS with the attempted questions.

We have a similar issue. Our exam is comprised of MC questions. Each screen has Next/Back so that students can skip a question and come back. The Submit button resides on a final, Summary screen. This is a lengthy, 1-2 hour exam. If a user somehow gets disconnected or kicked out of the exam, they lose all their data. I'd like to find a way to save progress as they go (before reaching the Summary Page/Submit button). Otherwise, if something goes wonky, students are forced to restart their exam from the beginning.
So far the feedback provided is pretty basic, surface-stuff. I feel our issue is more specific/advanced. I am writing Renz back now to see if someone there can take a look at how we are closing out our exam, as the Summary screen/Submit button appears to be the point of (intermittent) failure.

I just came across this thread and found the article you referenced in your first post really helpful. I'm looking at the report our LMS Analyst ran for me and have a question for you. For Multiple Response questions, I'm only seeing one answer choice response instead of all the answers the user checked. Can you tell me if Storyline sends all answers for Multiple Response questions? If so, then I know it's our LMS.
You may consider testing your file in a different environment, such as SCORM Cloud, to see if your question gets reported correctly. This discussion shows my teammate, Alyssa, testing a multiple response question in SCORM Cloud reporting successfully.

Hi Brian! Yes, Storyline can do this and here is the support article for reference.
Perfect! Thanks so much Leslie. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Glad to help Brian
If I may tag on to this post, my understanding is that there is not a way to report via SCORM or AICC free-form text entry fields?
Hi Rebekah,
Without knowing a little more about your project, it's hard to know how you're currently set up with your course and what type of freeform text you're wanting to report.
In the meantime, here's a thread I believe may help:
Track user text entry data
Another option may be to report the variable to your LMS:
Articulate Support - How to send the value of a variable toan LMS
If you have any trouble with this, please let us know a little more about your course and what type of date you're wanting to track (survey, etc.).
Thanks!

Hi Amey!
I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You are referring to an article simply sharing what information is sent to an LMS.
Are you having difficulty with something that I can assist with?
Yes Leslie, You can help me.

Hello Mayuresh!
You should be able to accomplish your goals. I built a small sample file which is attached.
I uploaded to SCORM Cloud and here is what I could see:
1st attempt with 3 questions and I could see the user details:
Closed the course, restarted from the beginning and everything updated and tracked as expected.
I hope this helps :)

Hello Mayuresh!
On first glance, it does not seem to work in the same way because the items are truly 'not submitted' yet:
Hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist you here if they have developed something similar in the past.

Hey Bart,
Smart move to also open a case! I see Renz recently shared some helpful information with you. Let us know if we can answer any more questions!

Thanks for the feedback, Bart.
I've added this to your case as well.
