SCORM package does not mark Completed/Passed in SCORM 1.2, Build 3.42.22691.0
Jul 23, 2020
Hello,
Saw a new important concern with new SL360 updates from July 21, 2020 (Build 3.42.22691.0) and up as of today 07/23/2020. When making a SCORM 1.2 package from a 2 slide course and using the Completed/Passed trigger at the start of slide in the 2nd slide, this package does NOT complete in SCORM Cloud testing.
However, when I revert back to July 7, 2020 (Build 3.41.22509.0), the course does mark as Completed. I've tested this a few times and this seems to be consistent.
Also, the newest updated as of today, July 23, 2020 (Build 3.42.22724.0), still seems to have this issue.
This arose with the strange complete issue found from a developer I work with in Case #02365926. So this is a more detailed post for others to review information on if this is indeed an issue for others working in making SCORM 1.2 packages with version 3.42.22691.0.
Attached is the included file I used for testing and the 2 SCORM 1.2 packages I made from 3.42.22691.0 (issue at hand) and 3.41.22509.0 (package that works fine).

We're seeing the same issue with both the July 21 and July 23 release. The course is not completing in our LMS. The July 7 version is completing as expected.
Hi Wesley,
I'm sorry this latest update is causing such a headache for your course completion! And that's correct, the hotfix that rolled out today only addresses the issue with text styles.
The course completion bug is the next focus, and we want to make sure we get it right before releasing another fix. We'll pop in here to let you know as soon as it's ready, and you can also follow along in this discussion for more insight:
New in Storyline 360: Text Styles
Sounds good thanks for the update Ren. At least for now our team can use 3.41.22509.0 to make working SCORM packages. I would not have guessed this text styles would have a cascading effect.
Popping in to say that course completion trigger does not register a completion with SCORM 2004 either.
Quick Update:
We're scheduled to release a fix for the Course Completion Trigger issue first thing tomorrow morning.
Hello Everyone,
An update to Storyline 360 was released earlier today containing a fix for the Course Completion Trigger issue.
You can see the full release notes here.
