Incorrect file package - missing imsmanifest.xml or AICC structure
I get the message above when trying to upload a scorm page to Moodle. I have uploaded a number of scorm packages and did not change the settings, but started getting this problem today. What might be the problem. Where should I look for the problem?
That error message that the manifest can't be found when launching a course in your learning management system (LMS), is generally traced back to the SCORM output being zipped incorrectly. An LMS won't be able to find the imsmanfiest.xml file for a course if it's not at the root level of the zip file.
To correct it, do either of the following:
Use the built-in Zip feature on the Publish Successful dialog after you've published your Articulate content. It'll automatically create a well-formed zip file.
If you manually zip the output files, make sure to only zip the contents of the output folder, not the folder itself.
If you've double checked that you've followed those steps, are you able to share your Storyline file here with us so that we can take a look?
If you're zipping it correctly, you might want to verify that the SCORM package can be uploaded and successfully launched via the scormcloud website (http://cloud.scorm.com). If it works there, the problem is probably with Moodle. If not, it's probably your SCORM package.
Thanks for all your suggestions. It may have been a glitch with the .zip upload in Moodle at that time. I tried several times and it kept giving the same message. However, it is working now. I was always using the zip function after publishing in Articulate and had not changed anything. That's why I was so frustrated with it not working.

you need to zip the contents and not the folder, the Manifest should be at the root level. It is always best to use the Articulate zip function.
I am using the Articulate zip function. That is the way I always zip them and I haven't changed what I'm doing.

Thanks Sandra for the update and I'm happy to hear that things are now working as expected with you zipped files.
