SCORM won't play in iPhone
Sep 14, 2017
Hi everyone, I'm new here so this may have been covered and I just can't find it. When launching a course from within Blackboard 9.1 on an iPhone (version 10.3.3) all I get is a white screen. When I launch the same course using my iPad (version 10.3.3), it plays just fine. I've created the SCORM in Storyline 3 and am using "HTML 5 Only" format (no Flash). I do not have the "Articulate Mobile Player" option selected. I read someplace that if using an LMS like Blackboard, to uncheck that, although I tried it with it checked too.
The pop-up blocker is off on both mobile devices. It appears that the SCORM does open a new window for the iPad, but not the iPhone.
The same thing happens on the iPhone whether I use the Blackboard Instructor app (newest app) or a browser window.
Any ideas as to what is happening or what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Laura,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm curious if you'd have the same issue if the SCORM file were tested in another LMS environment. Have you tried testing it in SCORM Cloud to see whether the content plays normally on your iPhone there?
I'd be happy to help you with that testing! Simply attach your file in a new thread comment, and I'll take care of the rest. ☺️
We tried it in Digital Chalk and it works there. We must have a problem with Blackboard. I was hoping someone on this sight might have run into the same problem. We'll talk to Blackboard about the SCORM. Thanks for responding.
HI Laura,
Did you find a solution to your issue of SCORM on Blackboard and iPhone. This seems to be an issue with any SCORM and not Flash related. We are having issues making our SCORM content on iPhone. Works great on Android in Blackboard. Thanks in advance.
Hello David and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
