SL crash issues with fine tuning of screen recordings

We're having some issues in completing the fine tuning on screen recordings, as SL will just crash when we try to action this.

We noticed that it seems to be an issue with Windows 11, as the only devices we can get this to work on is a couple of devices running Windows 10.

We've tested this with different hardware, SL versions and our only solution is to use a device not on Windows 11.

I can sprawl back through years of others having similar issues and was hoping we had found a workaround to this. Has anyone else had a similar issue or understand why Windows 11 may be causing this issue?

Thanks

  • Hello Hon Lai,

Sorry to hear about your experience with using Storyline 360 in Windows 11.

I'm using Windows 11 myself and I can confirm that I am not experiencing any crashes when I try to use the action fine tuning feature for screen recordings.

Since the behavior appears to be isolated to your local installation, try doing a repair of Storyline 360 to see if this helps. You'll also want to make sure that you are working locally when making changes to your project file. If the issue persists, open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.

  • Hi Hon Lai,

I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360.

One fix we’ve included in Build 3.79.30921.0:

Storyline 360 could crash when fine-tuning screen recordings.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here, and please let me know if you need additional help!
