I am developing slides using the Essay type questions. We want to ensure the user types in text and therefore we want to prevent them from pushing the customized submit button (we are not using the Storyline built in submit button) if they have not typed anything in the text field. Is this possible? Can someone please assist with this.
Would you be able to assist me with another type in please. We have some slides with 2 or more type in areas on a slide. The problem is that the results are not pulling through to Moodle. Do you have any suggestions. I have attached an example.
on the form view of the quiz slide you haven't selected any 'acceptable answers' so I'm not sure how you are sending the 'submit interaction' information to Moodle.
Do you suggest that I put in some text in the Acceptable answers in order for the submission to work? Are the triggers I have used correct to set up the additional text boxes on the Storyline slide?
for the first slide you have it set up as a Freeform text entry - but it can only accept one text entry field and you have three. Are you grading these questions? Are you trying to report on what is being entered?
To report the value of individual text entries to your LMS that are not a built in question type you'd have to associated them with one. You could see the information here in terms of tracking a Storyline variable. This article is for Storyline 360, but similar steps would work for Storyline 2 and 1.

Hi Wendy
They are meant to be reflections on the content they are going over, so there is actually no correct answer, that's why the area is blank.
Hi Leandra
perhaps check out this thread to see if it helps with your issue of reporting to Moodle.
Thanks Wendy I will have a look.

They are not being graded. We want to get the data from Moodle about what text the user has entered.
