Storyline Font Color on Notes text

Aug 11, 2014

I see a lot of support articles on changing the color and changing the font in the Storyline Player. I understand how these are accomplished. But what I can't seem to do in Storyline is to change the COLOR of the font on the text displayed by the Notes tab. In Presenter I did this with PowerPoint. But in Storyline I can't seem to do it. I can, of course choose a different color scheme, but my whole goal is to create a custom color scheme. It seems I am able to adjust the color of just about everything in a color scheme except the color of the text displayed by the Notes tab. This the color of the text displayed in the column of text, NOT the header on the tab itself. Anyone have a technique? Thanks!

So I looked at the job aid and I appear to be missing something. I also viewed the video on changing the player. My default color scheme does not change to "modified", when changes are made. I need to 'save as' and type in 'modified'..

Trying to change color of font under "Notes".  The job aid has this reference "Editor>html_text".  So, I go to "Colors & Effects",  and "Show advanced color editing". From there, I select "Editor" and see nothing like "html_text".

I'm starting with the "Slate" scheme which should already have a white font color - I no gots....so that's why I'm trying to change the font color. Maybe there's more going on than meets the eye.  Help/insight would be appreciated.

Wendy,

Changing font and size is not a problem. What I'm having trouble with is the Notes tab in the 'green' example you show. See attachments. The default player is "Dark Blue". This should make whatever font I have 'white'. A few of my scenes have the white while most are black.

What's going on???

Leslie,

Thanks for checking this out. I already knew that I could change the font as you indicate.  For as much as the player controls, not having the ability to change font colors seems a real short coming for the program.

I've got approximately 60 slides. So now I need to go to each of slide Notes section and change the color to white. This also needs to be done at the very end of the project because you obviously need to see the text for final reviews and revisions.

This also doesn't answer why on some slides the text is white while others its dark.

Your suggestion will work and I will proceed. Just doesn't seem like a very elegant solution.

Thanks,

Manfred

Leslie,

Think I figured it out. Somehow, either through the initial import or what ever, there appeared to be some formatted embedded with the text under Notes tab. I set the player as I needed. Then, went to Notes on each slide and selected all then cut all of the text. Clicked onto the screen up above. The "Click to add notes" prompt shows up. I then executed Paste Option - "Keep Text Only". From there you can change font type and size. When the Notes display in the Player, ALL will be consistent with the player scheme.

Thanks,

Manfred

Iv'e set the EDITOR>TEXT to black. I've formatted my text in my notes panel to be black. Yet when I preview/publish - the text is white.  Check the screenshots to see for yourself.

What's obnoxious is I'm creating an entirely new player because the text insisted on always being black on my slate player. Now that I have a white player - the text insists on being white. MAKE UP YOUR MIND CRAPTICULATE!!!!
