Storyline not resuming after Lightbox branch

Feb 10, 2013

Sigh. This seems to have occurred after the update.

A branch was created, media paused and branches defined using hyperlinks speared off to different scenes. One hyperlink opens a scene as a lightbox. This worked all fine until the lightbox closes, then jumps to the resumption point. The storyline fails to resume where it once did (in the previous version) .

I can put in a 'click NEXT' caption referring to the Slide player, but it skips the resumption slide (and does not look professional). I have tried all manners of triggers but to no avail. This used to work - no problems previously.

Is ANYONE else experiencing a similar issue and is there a remedy?

Hi Michael,

I took a quick look and found a case for this issue (#00311615 for my reference). I see that the last response was sent by Miker on the 4th of last month. Were you able to take the steps he suggested in his response? If you haven't received the email, please be sure to check your spam folders or filters. You may also want to set support@articulate.com as a safe sender. If you're still unable to find the email, please let me know and I can resend the message.

If you are still experiencing this issue and you are able to find the email, please respond to the message so Miker can continue working with you on this.

Thanks!

Good morning Christine

Thank you for you e-mail. Unfortunately I didn't receive the mentioned email by Miker (it is not in my inbox or spam folders). If you could please send the email, that would be great (or even via here).

I did look in the support pages, however (as I'm sure you can appreciate) it can be sometimes difficult to work out the nature of a post from its title.

Sincerely

Michael

Hi Christine,

It looks like Michael's case is currently being tested by our Quality Assurance team and we haven't found a workaround for this, yet. However, without seeing what's going on with your course, I can't say that this will be exactly the same for you.

Can you give us a little more information about what's happening? If it's extremely similar to what Michael described, we may want to take a look a the project files. Are you able to send them to our support team for testing?

You'll be able to attach the .STORY file on the second page of the following form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue. Please also include the URL for this thread in the form. Also, please share the case number with me. You're welcome to do so here, or in a private message. This way I can follow the progress of the case and update this thread.
