Storyline published content not loading in Firefox, all of a sudden

Jan 10, 2023

All of a sudden all of our storyline published content is not loading in Firefox. Users just get the loading spinning wheel. They are loading in Chrome. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello Rob!

Sorry you are having trouble getting your courses to play in Firefox. Testing the courses in other browsers is a good way to isolate the behavior.

Do you have the most recent versions of Firefox and Storyline installed? We just released an update for Storyline 360, which includes a fix for courses not loading in Firefox.

Also, if you would like to upload your project file we can test out the issue further on our end.

Hope this helps. Thanks for reaching out!

Thanks Jürgen,

This was my fear. This bug is affecting hundreds of storylines that have been published over the years in our curriculum.  Steven, yes both firefox and Storyline are up to date but because this issue affects previously published files, sharing any .story file to troubleshoot is not really relevant. Users are reporting this issue en masse today for the first time, so I was wondering if it is something new others are experiencing this week. I wasn't sure it could be related to the audio on the first slide issue that has occurred in the past. I have to do more checking, but I am wondering if there are other solutions besides republishing out there?

Hi Rob!

Just popping in! I see that you are currently working in an open case with Cleo. I am adding these questions in your previous reply to the case so we can be sure to address them. You are in great hands with them.

We'll continue this conversation over in your support case.

Have a great afternoon!
