Storyline using the ipad/html5 on scorm cloud doesn't work!

Sep 25, 2012

Can anyone answer this question. Does Storyline for iPad actually work properly with the tincan API or even with the html5 output?

I can get the ipad version to work well in a web server but can't get it to work well in cloud scorm  (tin can).

In scorm cloud the ipad course is buggy even viewing it in html5. Is it a cloud scorm issue or is it a storyline issue?

I have sent cloud scorm 2 issues to get fixed, the first is to have the course run on the desktop and the second to run on the ipad. It now runs on the ipad but it is bug city.

ARGHHHH!

Good Afternoon, Randy.

If you haven't already, I recommend checking out our Knowledge Base Article on Publishing for Tin Can API.  Please note that since SCORM Cloud has not yet enabled private content authorization for mobile apps, you'll need to host your content on an external server when testing at SCORM Cloud.

Please let us know if you need anything else.  Thanks!

No luck!

When exporting the course for tincan, on the ipad the images don't show up and when I select the next button the playhead doesn't advance but the audio plays. I need to press the play button the make the animation work but then the layers don't show up properly.

When I export the course as a scorm course I don't get these issues. I don't mind it being a scorm course but I thought I needed tincan to track the progress for the ipad.

Take care

Randy

Thanks for taking the time to do some troubleshooting, Randy.

I think we'd better go ahead and take a look at your project.  Can you please submit a Support Case and be sure to include a copy of your .story file?  We'll do some testing on our end and let you know what we find.

Please let us know if you need anything else.  Thanks!

Apologies if I am hitting too many spots with my query, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had any consistent success with completing storyline courses published with tin can on SCORM Cloud or any LMS other than ArticulateOnline, while using the Articulate Mobile Player.  The course plays on the iPad player, but we have had only one instance of the course completing.  It works fine on the pc and saves resume data from one platform to the other, but I just get a Connect to server error when results are submitted.

Thanks
