Survey Results Slide Issues
Mar 31, 2017
Hello there,
I have a course with few modules (each module is in its own Storyline file) that features a couple of free-text survey-style questions peppered throughout the module. At the end of the module, I have included a Survey Results slide that features the Print and Review buttons.
These were working perfectly a few days ago, but suddenly they're not working. I suspect I've changed a setting that's somehow interfering with the functioning of these buttons, but cannot think what.
When you click on the Print and Review buttons, nothing happens except the state changes to "Selected".
Hope someone can help!

Hi there Gretchen!
Strange that the buttons on the results slide would suddenly stop working. How did you publish the modules--Articulate 360, Web, LMS? And where did you host the content to test it after it was published? Do you know if you were using a supported browser when you were testing? Here's a list of supported browsers for Storyline 2 and Storyline 360.
Hello Alyssa,
I published to LMS, hosted on a Moodle instance, and I was using the Chrome browser.
I had one of our engineers take a look and they seem to think it's the Moodle instance that's kicking up an error whenever the Print button is clicked. The Review button, however, seems to be working fine again (perhaps I mistook that), but the Print button is definitely still non-responsive.
Unless this is a known Storyline issue, I'd say our engineers are probably right, so I've handed it over to the team that manages the LMS.
Fingers crossed!
...actually, I just tested a different SCORM package on their instance and this time the Print function worked perfectly.
Could the size of the file (aka the number of slides) affect the Print or Review functions of a Results slide?
The project that worked is much shorter than the others, so now I'm wondering if this is a data/memory issue?
Hmm, interesting find! Glad to hear the Review Quiz button is working well. I wouldn't expect the size of the file to affect the Print Result button, so let's see if we can narrow down why you're getting an error message:
Let's start there, and we'll keep digging if we need to! :)
Hi Alyssa,
I can still share the file with you, but is there a way for me to do that privately?
Hello Gretchen - If you wish to share your file privately, you may do so here.
Thanks, Leslie.
I have submitted a case.
Thanks for the update Gretchen. I see where you reached out to our support team (01048443) and you are currently working with Abel. I will follow along as well.
Hello Gretchen - I popped in to check on your case this morning and it looks like Abel has escalated your issue for further investigation.
Hi all,
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is how we fixed an issue where the Print Results button wouldn't work in HTML5 output when the quiz included an essay question.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.
Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
Hi all,
A quick update, this fix is now also included in the latest update for Storyline 3. Updates are free for Storyline 3 licensees and you can download the latest update here. You can also view the entire list of Release notes for Storyline 3 here.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
