Hi! I would like to chime in and request SVG support in Storyline. I understand why it's not supported after digging into the HTML your software generates and see that you're wrapping all photos in SVG tags to enable cropping and other picture effects. There are ways to accomplish what you're resolving without wrapping things in SVG, though.
Lack of support for SVG is an incredible hindrance for anyone who cares about quality graphics.
Hello, I asked for svg-support a long time ago. In the long run we will change to another authoring tool because really nothing happens - it is a pitty for the genral support of articulate is really fine.
Thank you to everyone who continued sharing how important this feature was in Storyline 360. Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!
If you run into any issues, don't hesitate to reach out in this discussion or in a support case.
Thank you for the screenshots! I see what you're describing, David.
I want to keep troubleshooting this with you, but I'm having trouble finding the file you shared. Do you have a case number handy? If you haven't gotten around to it yet, no worries! Here's the link to share your file.
1. Export the image using another format such as PNG/JPEG 2. Import the SVG file into Powerpoint then copy-paste that image into Storyline 3. Import the Powerpoint file that contains the image into Storyline works as well.

7 years later and still no native support for importing SVG, despite Storyline being built on SVG?

PLEASE?! Can you fix this?
Can you please, for the love of all things, support SVG. You are really shooting yourselves in the foot by not supporting it.
As Mark said above, with variables we can dynamically change SVG files to accomplish amazing things with basically zero footprint.
Fix your software.

Any updates on SVG support? It is definitely an industry standard that should be able to be imported.
I am also running into the SVG issue. Is there an alternative? Importing a PowerPoint doesn't seem to work for me, sadly.
Hi everyone!
We just released Storyline 360 (Build 3.57.26407.0) today, which includes the option to Import scalable vector graphics (SVGs) to Storyline 360 so images stay sharp when learners zoom in and out.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem. I can't see the SVG file when I'm building the slide. Only when I preview?????
Happy to help here, David!
When I insert an SVG file into a slide, I'm able to view it without any issues:
What happens if you import that slide into a new blank Storyline file? Does that make a difference?
If that doesn't help, could you share the files with us so we can take a closer look? Looking forward to keeping at this with you!
Thanks for your response Becca. No, that did not help. Here are a couple of images of my work area and preview. I have shared my file.

Thanks Becca. I have uploaded it again the case number is 02973309
Thanks, David. I can see that Lianne has already taken a look and is working with you directly.
Hi! So, Storyline 360 has been updated in October 2021 to handle SVG files. That's great.
How do you explain this, then?
Hi, Marianick.
Thank you for sharing the screen recording of what you're experiencing!
If you can share the .story file with our support team through a case, we're happy to investigate what's happening.
I will, thanks.
My coworkers experienced the same, so I know I'm not the only one. Is this a common bug?
Hello Marianick!
I am not seeing a case if you submitted one.
I did want to share a few workarounds though.
You can try any of the following:
1. Export the image using another format such as PNG/JPEG
2. Import the SVG file into Powerpoint then copy-paste that image into Storyline
3. Import the Powerpoint file that contains the image into Storyline works as well.
