The Mobile Preview in Portrait Mode Ignores Seekbar Restrictions

Jan 14, 2021

I found an issue this morning in which the Seekbar can still be dragged when previewing on a mobile device (Portrait mode) even when selecting 'Allow drag after completion' in the Player Settings. Please download and watch the video to see what I mean.

I hope Articulate catches wind of this and makes a fix in a future update. Or else, I'm missing something. In that case, please take a look at this simple 'MobileSeekbarStillDraggable - 01142021_1055hours.story' file I made to reproduce this issue. If anybody can help me find the setting I'm missing that will prevent mobile seekbars from being dragged until completion, please edit that file and send it back to me. You have my express, written permission to share this with the E-Learning Heroes community as well!

Hello Daniel!

I'm sorry you're running into this bug where the conditional seekbar is ignored in phone portrait mode! We've logged this with our team, and it is currently being investigated. I don't have an exact timeline to share when we have a fix, but I've added this discussion to the report to update you to share the good news.

I appreciate you taking the time to share a screen recording and .story file with us! It's helpful to see the bug in action.

Hi Daniel,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes you'll see in the release notes.

The item you'll be interested in is:

Fixed: When the seekbar was set to allow dragging only after completion, learners could drag the seekbar before completion on smartphones in portrait orientation.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
