Try mode and hotspots

I have a specific query regarding the 'try mode' steps in screen capture and wondered if anyone could assist please?

I have interaction built into a slide using screen capture and try mode, it contains a hotspot which the user clicks into and has to enter specific text before moving on to the next step, this issues I have are:

when the user clicks on the hotspot and types I can't figure out how to make the text they are typing appear on the screen
if they enter the text correctly all works fine, if they do not type exactly the correct entry the user gets incorrect feedback but even if they then retype the correct value in the hotspot it seems to be in a loop always indicating incorrect feedback.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated!

A little confused about the text not appearing - is there a data entry/text field available at all? If there isn't, for some reason, and there's a text entry interaction, there should be a text variable on the slide. If you want to display the text they enter, you could always insert a text box with the %TextEntry% variable and display the text they enter. However, this won't show up as they're entering the text, but after they've entered it and clicked outside of the input field.

Still curious about that one - maybe you can clarify? :)

How many attempts do you have for the text entry? If it's limited, I wonder if that may be causing an issue.

Any chance you could share the .STORY file here? I may be able to get a better understanding of what's going on if I can take a look at the project.

Thanks for your response Christine (the real picture would be too scary to share!)

I've attached a link to the DRAFT (it's very DRAFT at this stage) to the published story so you can see what I mean. Skip thru the first few slide until you get to the software simulation and ideally as the user is typing in the e-mail address, subject and text I would like this to appear on screen as they are typing. If there is a better way to achieve this please let me know.
