I just found out that you can still buy a perpetual Storyline 3 license. I have been grudgingly paying over $1k annually for my SL360... but with several projects coming up I also need to buy licenses for 2-3 people on my team. Ouch. So, my question is... how interoperable are SL3 and SL360? If I buy perpetual SL3 for each of my team members, can I import their SL3 files into my own SL360 for fine tuning and publishing? Or am I setting myself up for problems? TIA!
You can open an SL3 file with SL360. However, SL3 doesn't include all the functionality of SL360, so your team would be limited in what they can do. And they wouldn't have access to the 360 Content Library.
Also, from posts I've seen on the Forum, some types of revisions in SL360 could make a file impossible to open in SL3.
