I am new to the software, and I've tried everything I can think of to make my hint captions show 100% of the time on the slide. My users won't know that they need to hover over the interaction in order to see the hint. Any ideas? I already have them set to be showing the whole time, but for some reason that isn't working. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks Leslie...I tried that one already. I went through all the threads I could find relating to hint captions. I have attached my .story file so that you can see what I am talking about.
This is an option that you can set before you insert your screen recording. You make the selection by choosing "Try mode options" right before you insert. I hope this helps!
On each slide, you'd need to do as Leslie suggests. You'd change the Show Layer "Hint Caption" to appear when the timeline for the hotspot begins.

Note: I'm looking at your file and it appears that you've altered a few things that may cause some issues. For example, on the third slide, it looks like you've added another numeric entry onto the "type 4" layer. You don't need this as that's really just your caption layer. Also, your Try Again layer is no longer functioning as it looks like you changed it from being a question slide (Text Entry) to a normal slide? At least that's what I'm seeing.
With only 32 slides, I'd be tempted to reinsert the sequence again and make the show always selection before inserting. You might find that starting fresh will clear up a number of things.

Hi Danelle!
Perhaps the suggestion in this thread will assist you.

Thanks for being willing to help!
Hi Danelle!
If you change your Trigger to 'Show Layer Hint Caption when the timeline starts' is that not what you are looking for?
It appears that you still have them set for mouse hover.
How do I remove the mouse hover option? I changed my trigger, but it still isn't just popping up.

Thanks Mike. Is there any way to edit the current .story option to let me do that?
Hi Leslie,
I did that. I think the problem is what Mike showed me, but I don't know if I can edit the .story to fix it.

OK - I appreciate y'all helping me. I will try to reinsert and see if that fixes it.
Thanks!
