HELP !!!Buggy storyline 2 project
Aug 29, 2018
Hi please can someone assist urgently?
I have reached out to the Articlate support team but I think they are offline - I am in South Afica and this needs to be submitted this morning. It is now 5:42 am
This file is extemely buggy
- the retry button does not work and some slides (Like 400.2 on the game board) does not allow me to select when I am vewing the entire project in preview mode but does allow me to select when I am looking at the slide itself.
- The exit course button and the retry button work intermittently when I publish to lms
- when I click layer 300L it is still showing both a tick and a cross
- the previous and next options appear in the player for some slides even though these have been de-activated at player level and slide level
I have also loaded screencaps of the buggy slides
I notice that when I reach out to the support team my queries are not responded to here- which I guess makes sense- but I would be grateful for any assistance I get at this stage - I dont think I will hear from support until later this afternoon
I have also re-installed Storyline 2 to no avail
Thanks in advance!

Hi Yasmin,
Having looked at the file I don't think Storyline is misbehaving.
I think you've set up a very complex file with lots of triggers and custom behaviours and the only way I can see that you will fix all of the issues is to run through everything one-by-one to get this working as desired.
Hi again,
One of the issues you list isn't a bug but is a bit of a pain:
- the previous and next options appear in the player for some slides even though these have been de-activated at player level and slide level
This is discussed here and a fix suggested: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/demo-hide-player-prev-next-buttons-on-quiz-review
One final thing from me for now.
On your quiz screens, try moving the submit interaction trigger to the bottom of the stack. It may be that when you press submit that you are submitting the interaction but the other triggers may not be firing, this could cause you some issues.
Hi Yasmin,
I concur David. You've set up very complex triggers in the file. My suggest is to make it simpler and that will be easier to fix all the bugs. Here are some tips to simplfy the triggers:
Hi Both
Getting back to this after many moons - we decided to eventually build a different one from scratch - thanks for the feedback
