Creating FREE Avatars!
Oct 28, 2014
I happened upon a discussion post about a week ago while waiting on my flight to board back to Dallas and it was talking about creating your own stickmen, avatars, etc...so it got my brain spinning. First I looked up websites that offered free avatar creators...but I didn't have a computer with me, only my iPhone 5s. So what was my next thought? "They must have an app for this..." I love apps on my phone...I have so many apps it's ridiculous. I actually found several and went with two: Cute Avatar and MiniMe. I made several little avatars and saved them to my camera roll. The real test was if I could get them onto PowerPoint and remove the background sufficiently enough to make them look decent. Well I tried them out today and they worked like a charm. So if you're ever in a need for a quick customizable avatar look no farther than your phone.

Jesi - you've stumbled upon something I hadn't thought of and doubt many people have; using apps to create e-learning elements. Wow! David/Tom? Are you guys watching Jesi? I think this is worth a shout out - a weekly challenge perhaps or a blog post on possibilities extrapolated from Jesi's very cool thought process and experimentation. Love it. : )
Thanks Stephanie! I had the pleasure of attending a seminar on Articulate and Power Point in early October in Texas with David and Tom. He encouraged me to post my ideas on this discussion board and I am glad I did.
These look really cool... Are there any copyright issues?
That's a really good question Tristan. Usually I'm really good about checking that out first but I will definitely look into it and get back to you.

That's what I was thinking would be the case... although then I do wonder what is the point of the app if you can't use what you have created?
