Articulate Studio Not Working After Update

Aug 20, 2015

The Articulate ribbon is not working after the most recent update.

I keep getting errors popping up every time I open PowerPoint. There are differing errors.

- One says "Replace with your application name like Articulate Presenter"
- The other error is that the entire PowerPoint application closes after trying to do something on the Articulate ribbon.

Yes, I have repaired it.
Yes, I have re-installed it.
Yes, it is fully updated.

I have been a user and owner of Articulate for 3 years and I have had errors after errors.  If I do not get this resolved today, I will be moving to Adobe Captivate and will be telling all of my other industry friends to do the same.

It's ridiculous how this program is so buggy.

Help me fix this now, Articulate

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out here and I know that you were also speaking with my colleague Crystal earlier today and she opened up a case for you. That'll be the best course of action so that our Support Engineers can take a look at some of your event logs - so we'll follow along as well and update the forum thread.

Hi Kevin. Sorry to hear about the difficulties. My first thought would be to do the following:

  1. Completely remove the update from your system doing an uninstall versus a repair.
  2. On this page you can download the zip version of the installer.
  3. Right click the Zip file and select Extract All.
  4. Run the installer.
  5. When the installation completes restart your computer.
  6. After your computer has restarted launch PowerPoint.
  7. You should then be prompted to activate Presenter. Your serial number should be pre-populated so you should only have to click Activate.
  8. If you are not prompted to activate the software, I would follow the steps here to see if they resolve your issue.

If you go through the steps above and continue to have difficulty, let me know. I will also send you the instructions via your case.
