Can't get Presenter 2013 to run without crashing

Sep 08, 2014

I have used Studio Pro 09 for a number of years and recently decided that I may want to upgrade to 2013 version. I installed the demo, which uninstalled my 09 version, but I can't get it to run. It crashes when I do any of several basic operations, e.g., click on "Add Narration" or click on "Preview" (sometimes I am able to add narration to a slide, but then when I try to test it by previewing, it crashes).

I tried re-installing, but that has not helped. I had Camtasia plugin for powerpoint installed, but it seemed to be disabled by Presenter, and now does not appear (which is fine...I just mention it to provide more info).

I am running WIndows 7, and PowerPoint 2010 on a 64bit machine.

Any help would be appreciated...

Hi Mark!

Many of our users that had issues installing the latest Presenter '13 update were able to resolve by uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

You also want to be sure to have these:

Install VSTO

Install at least .NET Framework 4.0

If you continue to have difficulty, I'd suggest reaching out to support for further assistance.
