editing audio in Presenter 13

Aug 15, 2019

Hi, It takes forever to open up the audio editor. Is there a way to open up just one slide, thus it would be a faster edit?

Thanks,

Hi,
When I edit audio, it would be lovely to be able to open up just the one slide's audio-a it is it takes forever to open up the whole audio for the presentation. The thing is, when I edit a course's audio and move the slide builds I need to see the slide and the notes portion. So, I open audio editor (it takes forever to open all the slides), I then choose the slide I want to edit and perform what needs fixing, then I close and save. The I move to the next slide I want to edit and go through the whole process again. I'm thinking there must be a faster way to edit each slide ( I need to have the slide and notes visible for each edit and as you know you cannot do that once the audio editor is open. Are there quick fixes for this?

Thanks,

Janean

Hi Janean,

It looks like you responded to Lauren's message via email vs. visiting the forum page, and as such your email signature came through.  You can remove that if you would like by clicking Edit beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help. I'm also not sure if you meant to include any attachments as those wouldn't be posted from an email either.

The audio editor in Presenter '13 will show all the audio in your file, but if you'd like to narrow down to a singular slide, click a slide thumbnail in the left navigation pane. The waveform will zoom in until the waveform for the selected slide fills the screen. Take a look at this user guide for more details!

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me!
Yes, I know how to edit each audio file. What I was looking for apparently does not exist. The process of having to load the entire audio is very, very time consuming especially when the module is large with a lot of audio. There are circumstances when I must make these huge files and to need to edit a slide, save and exit, then move to another slide open audio editor and edit consumes a great deal of wait time. Perhaps in an update you would consider the possibility of loading the one slide that you want to edit?

Thanks for the consideration!

Janean
