Locked up Presentation

Oct 28, 2015

Hi all,

I am having some issues with my presentation locking.  I have recently published a training presentation using Articulate '13.  The presentation locks up after the first slide in Presenter; once the narration has finished I cannot proceed to the next slide.  A cursor with a padlock is present right from the start.

When I amend the slide properties to show the padlock as 'unlocked' on the first slide and publish again all seems to work ok.  However, this enables the user to skip on to the next slide early but I don't want this.  The cursor appears without a padlock.

The first slide is PowerPoint based rather than an Articulate interaction template and includes annotation if that makes sense?

Many thanks.

I'll check that out to see if it causing my issue, thank you.  Where will I find the slide timeline?

Edit: Are you referring to the seek bar at the foot of Presenter?  The bar had completely filled up and wouldn't let me progress any further.

However I have made some changes and it is now allowing me to progress onwards.  I unlocked the slide and changed the seekbar to 'On' from the 'On (default)'.  I can no longer skip forward by pressing 'next'.

The next slides are the Engage Interactions; I have them 'locked' at the moment but if I click 'next' I can advance forward prior to the narration finishing.  Is there anyway of preventing this?

Hi Simon! I apologize. You should be able to get this corrected utilizing either the audio editor or sync animations. Not sure which you would prefer.

Just saw your edit:

In regards to the Engage Navigation, Presenter navigation will control when the user is allowed to leave the interaction.

How the user navigates through the Engage Interaction is set in the Interaction Properties. Presentation mode is what you would need here to force completion of each step.
