Optional Quiz in Presenter 13

Feb 05, 2014

I have to re-publish my content in Studio 9 but since now the player is unified, I am having certain issues:

Here is the structure of a typical file:

1:  Pre-quiz

2:  Concept slides

3:  Post-quiz

Now I want to keep "pre-quiz" as optional.  The student can move forward if he does not want to attempt the quiz.  Post-quiz on the other hand is required.  In Studio 9, I could set these properties when I inserted the quizmaker quiz in presenter.  But now I am not sure how to do this in presenter 13.  Since now there is only one next button, is it even possible to skip the entire quiz section?

Good Afternoon, Payal.

I can think of a couple of ways that you might choose to handle this:

  1. If you need to allow the learner to exit the quiz while it's in progress, you could enable the Player Menu and customize the Quiz Properties to Allow user to leave quiz at any time.
  2. If you need to allow the learner to skip the quiz before it begins, you could hide the Next button and replace it with 2 descriptive hyperlinks to (a) the Quiz Slide and (b) the ensuing PowerPoint slide, respectively.

Good luck with your project!
