Synchronizing slides with a presenter video

Mar 20, 2013

I have an old elearning course which consists of a presenter video and accompanying slides, and I need to convert it to an Articulate Presenter format (for various reasons which I won't go into).  What is the most efficient way to synchronize the slides so that they automatically advance when the presenter moves to the next topic?  (The video is currently in .wmv format.)

I think I can get the time codes for when the presenter advances to the next slide and I'm hoping that there's a way to set up the course in Presenter so that the slides automatically advance. I haven't been able to find a description of how to do this in the documentation or the forums yet.

I appreciate any help you all can offer.

Hi Diane,

Is the video of the presenter really really great? If not, I would recommend converting your video to an audio-only file, saving a screenshot of each slide to make a powerpoint slide show, and then sync the audio with the powerpoint slides in Presenter. You could also save some screenshots of the presenter to incorporate into the slides.
