I am attempting to publish a Replay video that has sound working correctly in the pre-publshed file review but once published, no sound transfers. I inserted a MP4 video with sound, with no additional audio recorded to the project.
Has anyone else experienced this? If yes, could you please provide some direction on how to correct the project?
So the sound is from the video file not sound that you recorded in Replay? I know that we've seen just the audio stay upon publish of a screen recording but I'm not sure about the reverse. Do you have a sample .replay file you could share with us?
You are correct, the sound was not recorded in Replay. Please see the attachment. You will notice the some of the sound did transfered but not at the begining. I triple checked the video file and the sounds works correctly. I'm stumped...
Thanks Mary Sue - I published it and heard the audio. I've attached it here. With that in mind, can you confirm that you're publishing to a local drive and following the other guidelines documented there. I'd also look at conducting the repair of Replay as detailed here.
I have this problem every time I use Replay. I get the project complete and it plays the sound when I go through it the first time and then when I try to play through even before publishing, there is no sound. Ashley, what was the solution for you being able to publish Mary's with the sound? Thanks.
Yes, I am working on a local hard drive. This happens every time I use Replay. The first time I play the video there is sound. Then if I press stop to make an edit the sound will no longer play. It also does it after watching the video all the way through the first time. So to sum it up, the sound is there the first time the video is played in Replay and then after that it no longer plays the audio with the video in the project or in the published version.
Thanks for sharing your file, Kelli. I'm seeing the same thing you're seeing, so I'd like to connect you with our Support team. They'll have a closer look at your file and email you directly with what they find. Keep an eye out for an email from Support@Articulate.com!
I took a peek into Kelli's case, and I see that our Support Engineers were able to solve the problem by re-encoding the MP4 file and re-inserting it back into Replay. If you're having a similar problem, shoot your file over to us by clicking here. We'll get you sorted out!

Hi Mary Sue,
Thanks - could you share the .replay file (the version before you published it)? I'd like to take a look at that and test publishing it myself.
Here you go. Thanks!

Thank you and I will double check my system. Have a great day!

Hi Kelli,
Sorry to hear you're having audio trouble! Since this is an older thread, let's start fresh. I have a few questions to start:

Was there ever an answer to this? If so, could you please share it? I have the same problem with Articulate Replay all the time. Yes, local drive.
