I just upgraded to Articulate 360. My courses are not loading when I publish in any output that includes HTML5. The first slide loads and then it spins indefinitely, as if it's trying to load.
The course loads when I publish the files as Flash only.
This was never an issue when I was using Storyline 2. How can this problem be fixed? The .story file is attached.
I published your course to Review with HTML5 only and the first few slides played back normally for me. Can you take a look and let me know if this plays for you?
When you're publishing your course, where are you uploading to test it? Also what browsers are you viewing it in?
Thanks for checking this out, Ashley. I see that it's working fine in Review. I just re-published to my LMS. My file is a SCORM 1.2 output with HTML5 with Flash fallback set. It's spinning/stuck on Slide 1. The first slide plays, then it spins instead of progressing. I'm using the latest version of Chrome (version 65). The same thing is happening in IE 11.
This problem only started happening after I stopped using Storyline 2 and started using 360.
Here is a link to your content for you to test in Chrome and IE11--would you mind testing that link and letting me know if the content plays correctly?
Yes, it's working just fine. Is the Publish Format = HTML5/Flash? I guess this means the issue is with my LMS vendor, possibly? Strange that I never had the issue with Storyline 2, though. Thank you Alyssa for helping with this.
Yes, I published with HTML5/Flash. If the SCORM Cloud link worked correctly for you, then I would assume that the issue is related to your LMS. That's really helpful information to being to your LMS support team for further troubleshooting.
Ok, I heard back from my LMS vendor. Here is their reply. Is the solution they are suggesting possible?
Thank you for contacting Relias Support. I believe that this issue you are experiencing is an issue with your version of Articulate 360. According to our Content team, on January 31st Articulate released an update that had the result of causing SCORM files to not work correctly across multiple sites including our own. The best and easiest solution for you would be to contact Articulate and have them switch you back to the version prior to the January 31st update. That is what we had to do in order to get our copy of Articulate 360 to start working again.
My LMS vendor had to revert back to the version of 360 before the January update. How can I get that version of 360? It seems I won't be able to use this version in my LMS.

Thanks, Christy! We've heard similar reports from other Relias users, so you're not alone. Our team is hard at work on a fix for this problem, and we'll let you know as soon as the fix is released.
In the meantime, I'll put in a request to roll back to Update 11 for you. Keep an eye out for an email from our team!
I'm sorry for the issues you ran into where in some cases, HTML5 courses could get stuck or stop advancing. It's been fixed in today's update of Articulate 360 - we also included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.
You'll want to publish and re-upload any content to take advantage of the fixes!
Does Articulate have any plans to release an automated, server-side update tool - as done for issues such as this in the past - to prevent us from re-publishing courses to fix the indefinite spinning/failure to advance issue in HTML5 courses? We have approximately 60 modules to re-publish that were originally published during the timeline described in this thread and are magically fixed when a new publication output is generated using the latest version of Storyline/Quizmaker 360. It's a huge time drain for us to conduct this re-work. An automated tool would be welcome.
We've now created a tool that lets you mass update existing courses without republishing them. Currently, the updater works on Storyline 360, Storyline 3, and Studio 360 courses. See this article for details!
And soon, the updater will also work on Storyline 2 and Studio '13 courses. Stay tuned! We'll post a comment in this forum thread when Storyline 2 and Studio '13 support is ready.

Hi Christy,
I published your course for LMS with SCORM 1.2, then I hosted it on SCORM Cloud.
I also tested your content in Chrome and Internet Explorer 11, and recorded that testing in this video.
Here is a link to your content for you to test in Chrome and IE11--would you mind testing that link and letting me know if the content plays correctly?

Hi Christy
there have been another 3 updates since the Jan 31 version. Here is the SL360 version history.
Do any of the bug fixes in releases Feb and March relate to what you are experiencing?

Thanks for the feedback, Christy! I'll be sure to pass it along to Miker, as well. 😊
