Formatting errors in course?

Sep 28, 2017

What's causing this issue? Everything works fine in the preview but once uploaded to the LMS a handful of users are experiencing this course breaking format error. This is a "Recap" screen that allows users to progress further into the module. The "right" attachment is how it should look.

We're also noticing that some users progress through the entire module and completion status isn't working. They're stuck on the "Close course" menu button(which also sometimes doesn't working.

1. we've counted the slides and have the exact amount required to be viewed for completion

2. the "complete" button is essentially a sugar pill and we don't understand why it's not working

We've explored Flash as a problem but Flash either works or it doesn't and this issue is random, but course breaking.

Thoughts?

Hey Joseph!

Sorry you're hitting these hiccups viewing the course in your LMS.

Are you seeing the same issues when testing your course out in SCORM Cloud? That'll help narrow down whether this is file specific or LMS specific.

For the issue with exiting the course, here are a few reasons why that may not be working.

You're also welcome to share your unpublished .story file here and I'd be more than happy to help with testing! You can include it in comment here using the Add Attachment feature like this:

Keep me posted!

Thank you!

The training team did not encounter any problems end users are now facing. We testing through the LMS (cornerstone) and SCORM cloud extensively.

Regarding formatting or completion errors. We've had about 12 people who can't complete it by going through the course but 50+ who have completed it on their own. Could this have something to do with the slides viewed? Or not being viewed?

I'm going to look into the article about the Close course button not working. It's essentially a sugar pill to give people the satisfaction of closing the course out but maybe Chrome has made changes that are influencing this?

The file is way too big to be posted here. Also, It contains company information. Is there another way for this to be done?
