importing MP4 files from Camtasia

I'm new to Articulate SL2 and in going through the tutorials, I discovered I couldn't edit videos other than trimming and making minor edits. I've used Camtasia, which allows me to record audio and time it with animations from PPT, add additional animations, split the audio tracks for editing, etc. Will I be able to import the Camtasia files (MP4)without problems down the line?  I'm also wondering about how to edit audio for step-by-step screen simulations (other than just trimming the front & back)... Sorry if these questions are too basic, but I need to understand the capabilities/limitations of SL2.
