Next button triggers don't work on mobile but swipe does?

Jul 27, 2022

I have a Storyline360 project where I disable the next button at the beginning of every slide and a trigger changes it to normal when the slide is viewed.

It works fine on desktop but on mobile, the next button never changes but the slide is able to be swiped when the trigger fires. Is this normal behavior?

That doesn't sound normal. The button should change no matter what device is being used.

And now I'll offer some unsolicited advice: You don't need any triggers to disable the Next button until each slide is viewed. Storyline will do that automatically if you set the Menu to Restricted navigation. That works even if you aren't showing the Menu.

This post has more info about that and other ways to control the Next button:

Hi, Phoenix.

Thank you for reaching out!

We had a bug where the Disabled Player Navigation Buttons changed to Normal state when viewed using tablets and mobile phones, but the fix was released in Storyline's Update 66 (July 2022)

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
