SOS - features not working for viewers when they work for me

Jun 02, 2016

Hi there,

I'm new to Storyline. I have created a training and published it.  I can go through all the scenes with ease but when I send it to my colleague to test, things like clicking on "Next" buttons or on "hot Spots".  I have had him load Firefox which is my preferred browser and I have had him reload Adobe Flash in both EI and Firefox.  He has tried it both places and gotten stuck.

We have the same everything:  Firefox 46.0.1 and Internet 11.0.9600.18314

I tested my product in Windows Explorer and sometimes get the same issues.  I assume IE is not the preferred browser to play it in.

I just can't publish something that isn't going to work consistently.  Ultimately I'm going to publish this as a SCORM in Cornerstone.  Will the software behave differently once in there?  If not, I'm in trouble.  Ideas are MUCH appreciated!

Hi Kathy,

When you share the published output with them have you uploaded it to a particular environment or are you just sending them the folder with all the output files? If the latter, they may be running into security and browser restrictions as detailed here. If you'll eventually be publishing for LMS, you could look at publishing and placing within SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing LMS content.
