Hi Christie,

Thanks so much for your replay and i go through with above link. In that they brief about slide rewind setting. In my course base layer we keep "Reset to initial state" in slide properties settings and seek bar working good if I click n number of times.

But my problem is on layer slide, if I click any of interactivity tab in screen, layer slide will display, seek bar will flow till end. After timeline finish if I click rewind button. Screen playing but seek bar not working. And slide layer properties also I keep "Reset to initial state".

Is there way to solve this issues or software limitation.  For more clarification please check story file I have attached already.

Hi Srini,

We've seen an issue where if you are using the rewind button it will not show the progress in a layer again that is set to allow seeking. This is an issue our QA team is continuing to investigate and I'll include this discussion as a part of that report so that we'll be able to update you here once there is additional information to share. Two workarounds that were mentioned as a part of that are:

  • The progress appears  if you hit the "play" button after the rewind is hit.
  • Also shows up if you hit the progress bar and then play button after rewind.

Hopefully that helps in the meantime, and well keep you posted if there is any other information.

Hi Shalimar and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Unfortunately I do not have an update to provide on this issue as it is still in the hands of our QA Team.

We have this reported as happening in the Flash output with the following possible workarounds:

  • Hit the "play" button after the rewind button

Not ideal, but I will be sure to add that we have another user affected in the forums. This thread is flagged for update when applicable.

This same answer, that the QA team was working on this problem was in a post from over a year ago. Has any progress been made? I will have to redo my course if there is no resolution.

Here is the old thread

Hello Anne - I do not have an update outside of what you see listed here as possible workarounds. We are working to better prioritize these issues based on user impact and this one has been moved up for further diagnosis and discussion. This thread is attached so that I can share an update when applicable.

I just wanted to report that I'm having the same issue.

Because of this issue we don't want to use layers in places where it would be most appropriate to use them. We then use slides instead, making courses larger than they need to be.

A fix to this soon would be greatly appreciated.

I should clarify that the problem I see is the slide reload/refresh button does not reliably reload the slide or layer. Sometimes it requires the user to click the beginning of the seek bar to review the slide.

I'll submit a case with a .story file and will note some specific problematic slides. Thanks.

Hello Manjeet and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

We'd be happy to help you with this. Please share your project file so we can investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
