I've recently updated Storyline 360 to v3.12.14647.0 and have discovered the media completes trigger no longer performs it's action when the media completes.
I'm just trying to change the state of a button to Normal from hidden when audio finishes playing. I have a 11 modules that currently rely on this functionality and none of them are working. Is this a known problem with the latest release and is there a ETA on a fix?
Is it possible to role back to a previous version of Storyline 360?
Yes Silas - it is with preview but some folk are saying once the module is published to web or LMS the trigger is working - have you tested the published output?
The problem persists upon publication. Is there a timeline for a fix on this? It has been a problem for me for at least 3 weeks - and I have a course that HEAVILY depends on this that is due to my client shortly.
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is:
Fixed: In HTML5 output, right-click triggers displayed a context menu in some browsers, and triggers set to occur when media completed stopped working.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
I seem to be experiencing a similar bug now. Has this cropped up again? I had the video set to play again once it completed and it worked fine before but it seems to have stopped working now.
Hi there, John. Sorry you're hitting this roadblock. I'd love to dig into this behavior!
First, can you tell me what version of Storyline 360 you're using? To find this detail, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. We're currently on 3.19.16600.0.
Next, I'd like to test your file in a similar environment to see if the same behavior happens there. Could you share your .story file with me, and let me know how you're publishing it–for Web, LMS, or something else?
Hi, John! Appreciate you sending in your project–confirming receipt. 📧
First, your setup looks great! I just shared a recording with what I saw in the case–for those following along, we have an open issue where videos do not loop correctly when they are set to play Automatically and have a Play Media when the timeline (or media) ends on the video trigger.
One workaround is to use another video playback setting like When triggered or When clicked.
You're in the right place to hear updates once we have them! Thanks again for working through this with us, John!
Glad that was helpful John! Thanks for popping back in to share.

Seems to work for me upon publish to Articulate Review at least - Still a bit of a hassle to test, hopefully this can be resolved soon.
Yeah - I found that. A bit of a pain to review - but I can live with it. What I REALLY need to know is if the publish to LMS is also broken...
Hi Michel
you could test it in Scormcloud.
Now THAT's an excellent suggestion. Thanks!
