Build a Transport Demo
Apr 23, 2020
I thought I’d share this short demo I created in Storyline 360. My goal was to use variables and object states to expose how user inputs and choices can affect what’s displayed on-screen as you progress through a program. Those choices can then follow you throughout. In this case, the user is asked to customize their own ground transport vehicle for navigating alien worlds! In real-life, this was inspired by a recent project where medical students selected lab tests and therapies based on a patient’s symptoms. Those choices were then evaluated as they progressed through the module. Id love to get feedback on this.

Hi Scott,
Wow! This is super creative. I love the "passcode" you have to enter at the beginning. It makes the whole experience feel like some super-secret mission.
The design is super-sleek and I love how you're able to preview the different options before you "lock" them in. The personalized feedback at the end is also a nice touch.
Simply amazing! Thanks for sharing with the community :) If you're able to share the .story file, that would be great! I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see how you've set this all up.
Fantastic work, Scott! I love the design and custom options. The subtle sound effects also made this such a cool experience. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks Allison! I'll see what I can do about getting the .story file in shape to share.
Thanks so much Sarah!
Awesome! Thanks Scott :) I look forward to taking a peek under the hood

Thanks everyone. Here's the .story file if you feel like taking a look at how it was built.
