Anki looks interesting - the best thing to do is just try it and see if it works I guess.
If the web technology is not available, could you suggest to users that they use something else, for example - if they have a smartphone, a number of them have built-in Voice Recorders. With clear explanation of the requirement beforehand, those could perhaps be used as they way they record/listen?
The voice recording options seem to work for flash-based output. What about for mobile devices?
I'm wanting to get away from the simple say, listen, repeat option. What I'd like to do is have the learners essentially participate in parts of the conversation. In other words, instead of choosing a written text option, they would have to say/pronounce the option. I'd like for them to be able to send the recording to their instructor for feedback.

Thanks all for your input. Will keep you in the loop
@Nick Russell: Big thanks for your screen recording and for sharing your knowledge. Cheers !
@Bruce: Yes, the users won't probably have access to internet, yet I'm realizing that this is somewhat a handicap. Will see..
For instance, I was asked if it is possible to integrate ANKI (flashcards - a memorization system) into my Storyline project !!
?
Hi Abir.

This is one good possibility Bruce, thanks
Yet, not very practical in my case.
I've just learnt about a 'good' site http://ispikit.com/
I invite you guys to explore it and to experiment with it. Please your feedback, if already familiar with it.

Interesting... but I do not seem to be able to find the flash recorder. I have not tried getting flabel yet.
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Abir- What ended up being your best solution for this?
This thread was quite popular three years ago. Alot has changed since then... does anyone use voice recording in their courses?
Waiting to see if you find any answer; I'm trying to find out how to accomplish this as well.
Anyone find a solution?
