Handwriting fonts are so handy for bringing some spirit and authenticity to your projects. I stumbled upon the free version of a font called Summer—and it's become a fast favorite of mine. I used it mostrecently in this PPT download because I found it to be whimsical without being too cutesy or precious.
What are some of your favorite handwriting fonts (free or for purchase)? How do you use them in your projects?
I like "Another" it's one I've used several times as it seems to still maintain legibility when the font size is small. I've had to use it when creating courses where I need it to simulate medical orders that have been written into a patient's chart.
The Summer one is really nice. Hadn't seen it yet. Great...there goes my font collecting itch acting up again.
Action Man is good if you need a "marker" type of effect.
I'll update the list as I come across some other ones I dig!
Also, If you really want to get fancy you can purchase https://glyphsapp.com/ or http://www.fontlab.com/ and learn those programs to create custom type! They have so many amazing features.
I just used two handwriting fonts I found for free online in a course where we had tips from three experts, and I wanted to put these tips on "handwritten" Post-it notes. I used Rabiohead, Note this, both from FontSquirrel, and Segoe Print, which comes with Storyline. I attached screen shots of how I used the fonts in my course.
I grabbed some of the examples from other posts here. I'm really digging this discussion!
Those are nice. I especially like Rabiohead (despite the nagging urge to rename it "Radiohead"). Thanks for sharing your font finds and how-to with us!
OK.. I like all of this, but I am a rookie... So If I want to get a new font, I see links provided. (Thank you). What do I have to do. Download the font and it automatically appears as an option to choose in PowerPoint, Word Etc???
normally they will download in a zip folder, extract the files and then right click > Install fonts;. This will put them into your windows fonts folder - they need to be available there before they are available in Storyline. If you have SL open when you do it, you'll need to close and reopen SL after you have done the install.

ShaneMatthews_pen (but it's hard to find now)
AndrewScript_1.6 can be a bit easier to read than Adam's Hand (depending on how it's used)
(apparently that's my thinking on handwritten fonts that start with "A")
Oooo! Those are great suggestions, Tracy. Thanks for sharing.
Confession: I have a bit of a font hoarding problem, too. :-)
My go-to handwriting font for 10 years has been Skippy Sharp
That's a nice looking font, David. <adds to growing font collection>
Honestly, I'm over Skippy Sharp (been staring at it for 10 years) and have evolved to the more elegant Alice and Brooklyn from Filmotype.
What a wonderful discussion topic!
At Old Mutual our standard font is Futura. Great thing about Futura is it comes in different types such as Light, Medium, Book and Bold.

Awesome resources, Greg! Thanks so much for sharing your super-secret graphic designer recommendations with us.
Oooh! I like this!! Here is a pic of three of my favorites... I'm pretty sure I got them all on Google Fonts.
Those are great, Jeanne. I really like Architect's Daughter. I can see that one scaling nicely. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like Wendy's got you covered, but give us a shout if you have any more questions about how to install fonts.
Thank you. You mentioned available in Storyline, I assume this will be the same for Articulate Studio? I am going to give it a try.
I do not know about a Windows Fonts Folder but will go searching.
--- Looks Like I need IT to do the actual "Install" step.....
I love this post guys, very helpful. thnx!
Here are 3 I use from dafont, etc.
OOOOH that's a really nice one.
Like the Sketching one. Great.....there goes my day collecting fonts again.
I'm with you Rachel - Rabiohead is great! I've used it in several courses.
Hi, Trina!
Totally. I love looking at handwriting fonts. And the spelling of Rabiohead bothers me too, since I always want to fix it!
Hi, Kara!
I'm very happy with my discovery of Rabiohead and Note this! I found both fonts via this article, which had 40 examples of free and premium fonts.

I'm definitely going to make my own font after this thread. Nice link Rachel.
Love "handwriting." Nice and crisp and clean. Thanks for sharing that one, Ryan!
Here is one (not handwriting) that makes for a good stamp. I used in a flat desk design for some document laying on the desk.
