Three dots loading
Hi,
I published an articulate 360 training course to my LMS (Compliancewire). Some users cannot move past the last quiz slide and receive the three dots as if its loading but never takes them to the final slides. Some users are able to complete the course while others do not and get this error below. Has anyone else had this same issue? What can I do to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

I could preview individual scenes in my Storyline project but when I previewed the entire project in Storyline360/Review360, the course would not load and three dots would show continually.
I also tried to switch my player from modern to classic, but that failed to work as well.
So I copied my entire course to a new project and uploaded it to Review 360 and it’s working fine now. (Phew!)
I hope this helps! 😊

Thank you Karnika! I've been experiencing the loading three dots in Storyline courses uploaded into SCORM cloud. After I saw your post, I tried a "save as" and created a new project file and it's working fine now for me too! Thank you again for sharing your success!!!

Hi Mees,
I'm sorry you're having this issue when trying to complete your course! Have you tested your course in SCORM cloud? It's an online LMS environment that can be used to figure out whether the issue is with the LMS or the .Story file. If you test your course on SCORM cloud and it works perfectly, then your issue is LMS based.
I hope this helps! Thanks for reaching out!

this is the intended behavior - all images of the next slide will be preloaded - when this is done, the animation dots disappear
you can see what happens - press F12 (developer tool) in the browser, then click tab "network"
but if you want a better waiting animation you have to use the classic player - it has a much more unobtrusive wait animation
Hello Matthew!
Thank you for providing a screenshot! Are there any commonalities with the users who are seeing the three loading dots when taking the course? For example, same browser, same device, etc.
I'd also recommend testing your course in another LMS environment like SCORM cloud to see if the loading dots appear there.
I'm eager to see what is causing this behavior!

Wondering if this was ever resolved. We are seeing the same issue.
Hi Susan,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with the screen loading. I'd like to ask you a few clarifying questions to help troubleshoot.
- Does this only happen when you publish your course to LMS?
- Are all users experiencing the same issue?
- Have you tested your course in SCORM cloud as Lauren suggested above?
Please let me know if you need additional assistance with this! We'll be happy to take a look at your file to investigate further. You can upload it here or privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.

Hi!
I have the same problem in my course.
The three dots are visible when previewing the course on my and my co-worker's computers. In similar .story files the problem does not occur.I tried to hide all the elements and disable all triggers (exept go to next slide if user clicks next), this also did not solve the problem.
Does anyone have some helpfull tips?

We have a similar issue with certain users. When they launch a course they get 3 dots and can't get past that screen. When we test it on our end we do not encounter this issue. Is it possible something can be blocked on their network? We believe they are all in the same office.
Hi Tanya,
If your course doesn't launch properly for certain users, try asking them to clear their browser's cache, or asking them to use a different browser to see if this helps.
Additionally, you can test your course in SCORM Cloud like what my colleague John mentioned to isolate if the issue is LMS specific. Here's how. Lastly, if you think that the course is somehow being blocked by the network, your users will need to reach out to their network admin to add the URL of your course to their network's allowlist for your course to open properly.

Hi Charles,
Looks like the behavior you encountered is a little different from what other's experienced in this thread. The issue reported here involves courses encountering the three loading dots, and then seeing the course freeze from that point.
If you are able to go through your course from start to end, with some brief loading screens in between slides, I believe that your course is working properly, but it's always a good thing to test things just to be sure.
If you're unsure if your course is functioning properly, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
